Our Mission

Black Prism is a different kind of tea company. 

We combine the highest quality estate teas, made by masters, with independent artwork and original occult-influenced blends. All packaged with the intention of bringing great tea to a new audience. 

For a country that puts tea at the forefront of its cultural story, we find it strange that while amazing craft beer and coffee exist on seemingly every corner, great tea in the UK is still hard to find. 

Supermarket shelves are packed with low-quality, environment-harming black tea bags, and those in search of something better usually find themselves monarchy-worshipping tea rooms in twee market towns. We realised that a different tea experience was warranted – one without the Union Jacks and decorative plates celebrating the British Empire.

Enter Black Prism. We draw on the creativity, aesthetic and attitude of the thriving British underground scene to inform everything we do. We are giving boring beige tea a shot in the arm,  with inspired twists on old classics and inventive new blends We take inspiration from occult recipes, witchcraft and cutting-edge tea blenders worldwide. Our tea packaging is created by commissioning talented independent artists for every new blend. And we put ethics front and centre, ensuring every gram of our tea is sourced from Ethical Tea Partnership members.
